Christina Spicker began teaching in 1997 in the San Mateo- Foster City School District in San Mateo, California. She was an elementary school classroom teacher for 10 years. While teaching in San Mateo, Christina was actively involved in the NOYCE Foundation's Every Child a Reader and Writer Initiative. She was recognized as having an exemplary writing workshop classroom and participated as a teacher leader in the initiative, which then led to coaching grade level teams in literacy. Christina facilitated workshops sponsored by the NOYCE Foundation for several years. She currently works as a Title I Reading Teacher at George Hall School, as well as a consultant for A.L.L.
