Amy Gordon-Risz
Amy Gordon-Risz has worked for over 19 years as a classroom teacher (2nd-4th grade), literacy staff developer and school administrator.
In her work as a Literacy Coach throughout New York City, London, and the San Francisco Bay Area, Amy provided professional development that included demonstration lessons, facilitating planning meetings and creating and implementing school wide professional development.
Continuing to work in Bay Area classrooms, she guides teachers as they craft and maintain Reader’s and Writer’s Workshops that support the literacy learning potential of all children.
Amy has a Masters degree in Special Education from Fordham University, and she completed Manhattan Community School District Two’s Aspiring Leaders Program.
