Aliza Kushner

Aliza Kushner has been a literacy consultant for Accelerated Literacy Learning since 2006. She provides on-site professional development in New York City public schools that is customized to meet the individual needs of each school. By working closely with teachers and administrators, Aliza effectively designs and implements reading and writing units of study, facilitates grade level meetings and leads workshops.
Prior to working for A.L.L., Aliza began her career as a New York City elementary school teacher. She was a teacher leader and teacher researcher for Time For Kids magazine. She was a part-time Teachers College Reading and Writing Project staff developer, and then the Academic Liaison at The School At Columbia, a private school in Manhattan.
Aliza received her M.S. Ed from Hunter College.
