Judi Aronson
Over the past 42 years, Judi Aronson has worked in a diverse range of roles including classroom teacher, principal, curriculum specialist and District Superintendent. Judi has also worked in district offices, at the Central Board of Education, for the New York State Education Department and at the United Federation of Teachers, and as a Network Leader for Empowerment Schools with New York City Public Schools.

Louise Bernbaum
Louise Bernbaum taught English/Language Arts in the English Department and Basic Skills Improvement Program at Old Bridge High School in Old Bridge, New Jersey for 32 years. She has a BA in English/Education from Adelphi University and an MA in Education/Human Development from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Carolyn Cody
Carolyn Cody began her teaching career in 2001 in the San Mateo-Foster City School District in California as an elementary school teacher. While teaching in San Mateo she was actively involved in the NOYCE Foundation's Every Child a Reader and Writer Initiative

Jadelyn Chang
Jadelyn Chang began her teaching career in the San Mateo-Foster City School District in California in 1999. She was actively involved in the NOYCE Foundation's Every Child a Reader and a Writer Initiative and participated as a teacher leader, opening her classroom and training teachers throughout the district.

Sharon DeBiagio
Sharon DeBiagio, a native Californian, was been Director of Curriculum with the Millbrae School District from 2004 through 2010. In her directorship role, she provided literacy staff development and curriculum planning for grades K through 8. She was previously a classroom teacher and school principal. While working in Millbrae, as well as private and public schools in the San Francisco Bay Area, she has been a strong literacy advocate.

Mary Elsea
Mary Elsea joined A.L.L. as a consultant after twenty years in education in the San Mateo-Foster City School district. She began her career in the classroom and over the years taught first through sixth grades. Later, in her role as a literary coach, Mary worked with teachers across Grades K-8 as they implemented reading and writing workshops in their classrooms. She has designed and facilitated literacy training in the district.

Amy Gordon-Risz
Amy Gordon-Risz has worked for over 19 years as a classroom teacher (2nd-4th grade), literacy staff developer and school administrator. In her work as a Literacy Coach throughout New York City, London, and the San Francisco Bay Area, Amy provided professional development that included demonstration lessons, facilitating planning meetings and creating and implementing school wide professional development.

Greg Hamilton
Greg Hamilton, currently an educational consultant for schools in Northern California, taught in upper elementary, middle, and high school classrooms for over twenty years. Before moving to California, Greg was Assistant Professor of English Education at Teachers College, Columbia University, NY and author of numerous publications that discuss teaching and learning in the English/Language Arts classroom, including Becoming ((Other)wise: Enhancing Critical Reading Perspectives.

Alicia Heneghan
Alicia Heneghan began teaching in San Mateo, CA and had a passion for language arts instruction from the beginning of her career.

E.K. Keith
E.K. Keith is a teacher and a writer. She has an M.Ed and has taught for over 12 years. As a consultant, she has worked with teachers to establish Writer's Workshop in California, Colorado, Minnesota, and Texas and she enjoys this work immensely. She believes that being a writer and a teacher is about making good decisions that move the writing - and the teaching - forward every day.

Aliza Kushner
Aliza Kushner has been a literacy consultant for Accelerated Literacy Learning since 2006. She provides on-site professional development in New York City public schools that is customized to meet the individual needs of each school. By working closely with teachers and administrators, Aliza effectively designs and implements reading and writing units of study, facilitates grade level meetings and leads workshops.

Denise Leograndis
Denise Leograndis is a full time literacy consultant with A.L.L.. She works to help teachers and principals develop professional learning communities and build capacity by facilitating curriculum and lesson planning, as well as modeling lessons in K-6 classrooms.

Stephanie Locker
Stephanie Locker has over 30 years of teaching experience, primarily as a reading specialist. She taught both remedial reading and Reading Recovery and was a Library Power librarian. In addition, she served as both ESL school coordinator and ESL teacher.

Patsy Lockhart
Patsy Lockhart is an exceptional writing and reading teacher and professional developer. She has a Masters of Education Degree from Cambridge College in Boston, Massachusetts. Patsy is an Early Adolescent English Language Arts National Board Certified Teacher. She worked as a consultant with the Bay Area Writing Project at the University of California at Berkeley.

Maria Losee
Maria Losee is a private consultant who specializes in creating and leading professional learning communities, embedded instructional coaching, leadership coaching, and large and small group staff development.

Andrea Lowenkopf
Andrea Lowenkopf has been an educational consultant on and off since 1994. During this time she has worked throughout the United States, in Liberia and Nepal.

Judie Lulow
Judie Lulow received her A.B. degree from Smith College and a Masters in Early Childhood Education from Teachers College, Columbia University in NY. Her teaching career began at P.S. 166in Manhattan and she then spent eighteen years teaching at P.S. 87 before joining Accelerated Literacy Learningin 2004 as a consultant. While a classroom teacher, Judie developed an integrated curriculum based on patterns (in math, science, art and literature), as well as a Heroes curriculum which focused on student-written biographies of a diverse group of people who have made a difference in the world.

Lisa Peterson
Lisa Peterson has been a Accelerated Literacy Learning consultant since 2006. In this capacity, she has provided schools with support in implementing A.L.L.'s curriculum units and in strengthening literacy instruction in classrooms city-wide. As part of her professional development work, she has facilitated summer institutes, workshops, team meetings, modeled demonstration lessons and one-on-one coaching.

Susan Pickard
Susan Pickard graduated from the University of San Francisco with a BA in English, where she also did her graduate work and received a California Teaching Credential. She has been a teacher for 30 years, the last eight of which she spent as a K-6 literacy coach in several school districts.

Dottie Price
Dottie Price taught for thirty years in K-5 classrooms in the Houston Independent School District. She is ESL and GT certified, with extensive training and experience in writers and readers workshop and the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program.

Christina Spicker
Christina Spicker began teaching in 1997 in the San Mateo- Foster City School District in San Mateo, California. She was an elementary school classroom teacher for 10 years. While teaching in San Mateo, Christina was actively involved in the NOYCE Foundation's Every Child a Reader and Writer Initiative.

Howard Segan
Howard Segan taught in NYC schools for 10 years and was a professor at Rutgers,The New School, and Brooklyn College for 15 years. During his tenure at Brooklyn College, he served as the Director of the NYC Middle School Initiative partnering with Districts 16 and 17 on reform efforts over a three year period. Howard then seized the opportunity to work with Anthony Alvarado as a Humanities consultant in middle and high schools in NYC's District 2.

Matt Wayne
Dr. Matt Wayne is currently the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services in Hayward Unified School District.

Lucy West
Lucy West established MetamorphosisTLC after serving as a New York City classroom teacher, curriculum developer, assistant principal, teacher supervisor and Director of Mathematics Instruction for Community District #2 - a district nationally recognized for its progressive, innovative, and rigorous focus on professional development.

Kristl Wong
Kristl Wong began her teaching career in the Belmont-Redwood Shores School District in California in 1999. After moving to the San-Mateo Foster City School District, she became actively involved in the NOYCE Foundation's Every Child a Reader and a Writer Initiative. Kristl participated in the initiative as a teacher leader, opening her classroom and training teachers throughout the district.
