Integrating technology into classroom instruction can seem overwhelming, but in order to make students college and career ready, it is a necessity. In this Online Professional Development series, Monica Burns will present online resources and iPad apps that can be used in classrooms with access to diverse technology options. Teachers who use a SMARTBoard, netbooks, a computer lab, one iPad, a class set of tablets, or are just looking to become more tech-savvy, will leave this Online Professional Development series with tools to teach Common Core aligned literacy lessons. Participants will understand how to integrate technology into the teaching of fiction, informational and multimedia text while incorporating topics from the content areas, as well as assessment with the Common Core in mind.
